Similar to Mitsubishi Motors and Toyota, our background in trading fabric enabled us to go from scope to concentration. Because the fundamental’s behind denim is to make it look aged over time, we wanted to make a science out of art. From there, we decided to turn it up a notch and create our own denim mill.
Since its inception in 2002, we’ve now gone from selling 10 fabric styles to one of the largest denim libraries available. Producing 2 million meters of premium denim for brands across the globe, we don’t plan on stopping there.
We care just as much for those who contribute every day on the ground, as early as the people cooking the ingredient behind the final recipe. Farmers pulling cotton are guaranteed fair working conditions and treatment through the Better for Cotton Initiative (BCI). All AMC fabrics are 100% BCI! To find out more, go to http://bettercotton.org/.
It doesn’t stop there. AMC recycles 100% of its own water in its finishing machines and promote qualities with low water use in dyeing. We also offer hemp denim. Hemp is the fastest growing of all plants and help farmers avoid the use of herbicides to gain the organic certification and therefore better crop rotation. AMC also sells post-consumer recycled denim from damaged jeans. We shred the jeans to bits before spinning and dyeing back new yarns.
Our technical expertise, attention to detail, and state-of-the-art customized machinery promise product with the highest standards. Compromise is not an option for the products we compose and love.
Yet, we dare to dabble with the craziest ideas. We are not afraid to go the distance and continuously innovate to get the desired fabric. Driven by our passion, we don’t just make denim; we breathe denim.
As the denim industry is constantly on the move, we believe it will only continue to grow. With new effects and styles, denim keeps us on our toes. We enjoy what we do because there’s always something to learn, develop, and create that is better than or new from what anyone has done.
